Bookedin uses standard iCalendar files to synchronize bookings with external platforms such as Airbnb, Booking.com, and Micazu. You can easily switch between .ics and .ical file types, depending on the requirements of the platform you want to sync with.
Go to https://www.app.bookedin.nl/login/ and log in with your credentials. After logging in, you will see the dashboard.
Already created a calendar? → Proceed to step 3.
No calendar yet? → Follow the guide "Make your first calendar" first.
In the menu, click on Plugins and go to Sync and Import. On this page, you will see two tables:
Imports – for pulling in external bookings.
Export Bookings – for exporting your own bookings.
In the bottom table "Export Bookings", you will find a toggle switch for each calendar that allows you to adjust the export file type:
.ics
.ical
Click the toggle switch to swap between the file types.
Airbnb, for example, typically requires an .ics file.
Other platforms may sometimes require .ical.
Once you have set the correct file type, copy the link provided next to the calendar. You can then paste this link into the external platform where you wish to establish the connection.
You have successfully adjusted the export file type. Your bookings will now be synchronized with your external platform using the correct format.
