An embed element, not an app
Wix has booking functionality of its own, but it is built for appointments and services: a hairdresser, a clinic, a class. Rental works differently. You hand out an object for a period, with a minimum rental time, a deposit and sometimes several copies of the same item. That needs a calendar that counts stock, not diary slots.
Bookedin gives you that calendar as an iFrame code from your dashboard. You paste it into the standard Wix embed element, on the page where it belongs. The calendar runs on our servers and stays separate from your Wix site: there is nothing to install and nothing that can fall behind.
Availability that is correct
Visitors see which days or times are free and book themselves, so double bookings are ruled out.
Payment at the booking
Guests pay by iDEAL, Bancontact or credit card, including any deposit, security and extras.
Moves with your design

Putting the calendar on your Wix page
Works on any Wix site where you can edit pages yourself. Allow about ten minutes.
Create your calendar
Create a free account and make your first calendar. Enter your rates and choose whether you hire out by hour, day or night. See make your first calendar.
Copy the code
Your dashboard shows an iFrame code with the calendar. Copy it in full, including the opening and closing tag.
Paste it into an embed element
Add an embed element to your Wix page, paste the code, stretch the element and publish. The full walkthrough is in the user manual.
Where to find the embed element
Wix has two editors. The code is the same in both cases; only the route there differs.
Wix Editor (classic)
- 1Open your site in the Editor and go to the right page.
- 2Click Add (+) on the left.
- 3Choose Embed and then HTML iFrame.
- 4Click Enter code and paste your Bookedin code.
- 5Stretch the box to full width and about 900 to 1100px tall.
- 6Click Publish at the top right.
Wix Studio
- 1Open your site in Wix Studio.
- 2Click Add (+) on the left.
- 3Choose Embed and then Embed Code.
- 4Paste your code into the code field.
- 5Set the width to stretch and give the block enough height.

No. Bookedin works with an iFrame code that you paste into the standard Wix embed element, so there is nothing to install from the Wix App Market. The calendar runs on Bookedin’s servers and is separate from your Wix site.
Yes. In the classic Wix Editor you choose Add, then Embed, then HTML iFrame. In Wix Studio you choose Add, then Embed, then Embed Code. In both cases you paste the same code.
That happens when the embed element is shorter than the calendar itself. Stretch the element to roughly 900 to 1100 pixels tall and the second scrollbar disappears. Stretch it to the full page width as well so the calendar gets all the room it needs.
Yes. Drag the embed element to the full width of your section. The calendar scales automatically with the space it gets, on desktop and on mobile.
The embed element is available on paid Wix plans. On a free site with a Wix subdomain you usually cannot place your own HTML or iframes. If you are unsure, try adding an embed element to a test page first.
